How to: Install a mouse driver in Windows 95.
Solution:
Click the 'Mouse' icon in the 'Control Panel'. Add a driver using the 'General' tab sheet. Select a driver from the drop-down list box, or insert a diskette containing the driver.
1) Click the 'Start' button to display the 'Start' menu.
2) Select 'Settings' and select 'Control Panel'. (The 'Control Panel' window appears.)
3) Double-click the 'Mouse' icon. (The 'Mouse Properties' dialog box appears.)

4) Click the 'General' tab and click 'Change'. (The 'Select Device' dialog box appears.)
5) Select the 'Show all devices' radio button.

6) Do one of the following:
a) Use a listed driver:
1] Select the manufacturer from the 'Manufacturers' list box.
NOTE: If the manufacturer is not listed, select 'Standard mouse types' from the 'Manufacturers' list box and select 'Standard Serial Mouse' from the 'Models' list box.
2] Select the model type from the 'Models' list box.
b) Use a manufacturer-supplied driver diskette:
1] Click 'Have Disk'. (The 'Install From Disk' dialog box appears.)
2] Insert the manufacturer's diskette in the drive.
3] Type the letter of the drive the diskette is in and the command to start the installation program.
NOTE: Consult the documentation that came with the mouse for the correct command.
7) Click 'OK'.
8) Click 'Close' to return to the desktop.
NOTE: It is recommended that a Windows 95-compatible driver be installed. Contact the mouse manufacturer for the latest driver.
